Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The Journal Eniology of the Human is committed to actively pursuing the general standards of publication ethics in research formulated by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), available at http://publicationethics.org.

The publication ethics of the journal take into account the COPE International Standards for Editors and Authors, the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice of Publishing in the Scientific Sphere, a set of documents on publication ethics (PERK).

The publication ethics statement includes sections on the responsibilities of authors, editors, reviewers, and the Editorial Board.

The publication of results in professional peer-reviewed journals is an essential part of research and authors, reviewers and editors are committed to meeting the standards of scientific work.

Duties of authors

• Authors of works presenting the original research are obliged to provide accurate data on the research and also an objective evaluation of its significance. The background data should also be specified in the article. The article should contain sufficient data and references to replicate its content. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate claims constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
• Authors are required to participate in the review process, respond to reviewers' comments, and make proposed adjustments based on those comments.
• Authors may not provide the main topic of the paper for publication to other newsrooms.
• Only members who have significantly contributed to the achievement of the submitted research results may be listed in the team of authors of the paper.
• By offering the text for publication, the authors make it clear that all the data in the paper are true and original, that it is their own text and that all sources used are listed in the sources and literature.
• Authors are obliged to respect the rules of formal editing of articles.
• If the author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his published work, it is his duty to immediately notify the editors or publishers of the journal and cooperate with them in downloading the article or publishing a notice of correction of the article.

Duties of the editor

• The editor is responsible for the content of the journal and the quality of the published articles.
• He is obliged to maintain an objective approach to all submitted papers, to avoid conflicts of interest and to respect the main criteria for selecting papers, which are the professional level and importance of the paper and the compliance of the topic with the professional focus of the journal.
• In the review procedure, he is obliged to maintain the anonymity of reviewers and authors.
• In cooperation with the Editorial Board, it resolves possible appeals by the authors against comments from the review procedure and other complaints.
• It finally decides on the rejection or acceptance of the contribution for publication.
• In the event of subsequent serious errors, the editor consults with the Editorial Board on the possibility of downloading the article, publishing a notice of possible errors in the article and publishing corrections to the article published in the journal; the Rules for Downloading Articles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) apply to this procedure.

Duties of reviewers

• Reviewers must maintain objectivity and must not misuse the information provided in the peer-reviewed paper for personal or other purposes.
• Reviewers may refuse to conduct a review due to a conflict of professional interests. The following are considered to be conflicts of interest:
  professional, financial or personal benefit to the reviewer from the approval or rejection of the peer-reviewed paper
  cooperation on the project in the past five years
  a fundamental difference of opinion on the main topic of the peer-reviewed paper
  a close professional or private relationship with the author or one of the members of the author team.

If the reviewers do not refuse to draw up an opinion for any of the above reasons, the editors consider that there is no conflict of interest.

• Reviewers should point out potential issues, especially the lack of significant published titles on the topic.

Duties of the Editorial Board

• Through its activities, the Editorial Board strives to improve the professional and formal aspects of the journal, and supports freedom of expression and pluralism of opinion in the field; in accordance with the generally accepted principles of publishing ethics, it is ready to publish any current corrections, appeals and apologies after prior discussion.
• It issues instructions concerning the entire editorial work (instructions for authors, instructions for review procedures and reviewers, etc.) and guarantees compliance with the above rules.
• In case of suspicion or proven scientific error, fraudulent publishing or plagiarism, the Editorial Board, in close cooperation with the editors, will take all necessary steps to clarify the situation and correct the article in question. Part of this procedure is the immediate publication of a notice of correction or, in the most serious cases, the withdrawal of the work in question.

Copyright and Licensing

Articles submitted by the author must be original, author's. Their first publication should take place in our magazine. After their publication, the author can freely dispose of his text. Articles are always the work and intellectual property of the author, the author consents to their publication in the journal Eniology of the Human, on its website and in all databases of scientific and professional journals. Materials published in the journal Eniology of the Human may be used by other authors in their publication only with the title of the journal, the author's name, the title of the article and the page number.

Author fees

The publication of the journal is financed from the publisher's financial resources, voluntary contributions from the authors of scientific articles, and sponsorship donations. If the author is required to pay for the processing of his article, he is notified immediately at the beginning of the meeting. The author can decide whether or not to make a voluntary contribution to the journal. The amount of the contribution is usual as in other Czech scientific journals included in the SCOPUS database.

Publikační etika

Časopis Eniologie člověka se zavazuje k aktivnímu naplňování obecných standardů publikační etiky ve výzkumu formulovaných Výborem pro publikační etiku (COPE), dostupných na http://publicationethics.org.

Publikační etika časopisu zohledňuje Mezinárodní standardy pro editory a autory COPE, Zásady transparentnosti a nejlepší praxe publikování ve vědecké sféře, soubor podkladů k publikační etice (PERK).

Prohlášení k publikační etice zahrnuje části věnované povinnostem autorů, editorů, recenzentů a Redakční rady.

Publikace výsledků v odborných recenzovaných časopisech je podstatnou částí výzkumu a autoři, recenzenti i editoři se zavazují naplňovat standardy vědecké práce.

Povinnosti autorů

• Autoři prací prezentujících původní výzkum jsou povinni poskytnout přesné údaje o provedeném výzkumu a také objektivní zhodnocení jeho významu. V článku by měla být přesně uvedena také podkladová data. Článek by měl obsahovat dostatečné údaje a reference, aby bylo možné jeho obsah replikovat. Podvodná nebo vědomě nepřesná tvrzení představují neetické chování a jsou nepřijatelná.
• Autoři jsou povinni se účastnit recenzního řízení, reagovat na připomínky recenzentů a na základě těchto připomínek provést navržené úpravy.
• Hlavní téma příspěvku nesmí autoři poskytnout k publikování jiným redakcím.
• V kolektivu autorů příspěvku mohou být uvedeni jen členové, kteří významně přispěli k dosažení předkládaných výsledků výzkumu.
• Tím, že autoři nabídnou text k publikování, dávají na srozuměnou, že všechna uvedená data v příspěvku jsou pravdivá a původní, že se jedná o jejich vlastní text a že veškeré použité zdroje jsou uvedeny v seznamu pramenů a literatury.
• Autoři jsou povinni respektovat pravidla formální úpravy článků.
• Pokud autor objeví významnou chybu či nepřesnost ve své publikované práci, je jeho povinností okamžitě uvědomit redakci nebo vydavatele časopisu a spolupracovat s nimi na stažení článku nebo uveřejnění oznámení o opravě článku.

Povinnosti editora

• Editor je zodpovědný za obsah časopisu a kvalitu publikovaných příspěvků.
• Je povinen zachovávat objektivní přístup ke všem dodaným příspěvkům, vyvarovat se střetu zájmů a ctít hlavní kritéria výběru příspěvků, kterými jsou odborná úroveň a význam daného příspěvku a soulad tématu s odborným zaměřením časopisu.
• V recenzním řízení je povinen zachovávat anonymitu recenzentů i autorů.
• Ve spolupráci s Redakční radou řeší případná odvolání autorů proti připomínkám z recenzního řízení a jiné stížnosti.
• S konečnou platností rozhoduje o odmítnutí nebo přijetí příspěvku k publikování.
• V případě následného prokázání závažných pochybení konzultuje editor s Redakční radou možnosti stažení článku, zveřejnění upozornění na možné pochybení v článku a zveřejnění oprav článku vydaného v časopise; při tomto postupu se uplatňují Pravidla pro stahování článků Výboru pro publikační etiku (COPE).

Povinnosti recenzentů

• Recenzenti musí zachovávat objektivitu a nesmí zneužít informace uvedené v recenzovaném příspěvku pro osobní nebo jiné účely.
• Recenzenti mohou odmítnout vypracování recenzního posudku z důvodu střetu odborných zájmů. Za střet zájmu se považuje:
• profesionální, finanční nebo osobní prospěch recenzenta ze schválení nebo odmítnutí recenzovaného příspěvku
• spolupráce na daném projektu v uplynulých pěti letech
• zásadní názorový rozdíl na nosné téma recenzovaného příspěvku
• blízký profesionální nebo soukromý vztah k autorovi nebo některému z členů autorského týmu.

Pokud recenzenti z některého z výše uvedených důvodů neodmítnou vypracování posudku, má redakce za to, že žádný střet zájmů neexistuje.

• Recenzenti by měli upozornit na případné problémy, zvláště na chybějící významné publikované tituly k danému tématu.

Povinnosti Redakční rady

• Redakční rada svou činností usiluje o zlepšování odborné i formální stránky časopisu, podporuje svobodu projevu a názorovou pluralitu v oboru; v souladu s obecně uznávanými zásadami publikační etiky je připravena po předchozím projednání publikovat případné aktuální opravy, odvolání a omluvy.
• Vydává pokyny týkající se celé redakční práce (pokyny pro autory, pokyny pro recenzní řízení a recenzenty aj.) a garantuje dodržování výše uvedených pravidel.
• V případě podezření nebo prokázaného vědeckého pochybení, podvodného publikování nebo plagiátorství podnikne redakční rada, v úzké spolupráci s redaktory, veškeré kroky nezbytné k vyjasnění situace a opravě předmětného článku. Součástí tohoto postupu je bezodkladné publikování oznámení o opravě, případně, v nejzávažnějších případech, stažení dotčené práce.
